Exciting news, Under the Percentage for Art Scheme Persimmom Homes, who built the Windsor Gardens residential development have allocated some money for a piece of public art to go on Stand Road Park. Sculptural artist, Graeme Mitchison, has been commisioned for the work. He has been invited to the next meeting of Friends of Stand Road Park to outline his ideas for the art work and start the process of consulting the community during the development of the art work. Ideally we would like as many members of the community to come along to the meeting to have their say on what the artwork should be. Graeme works in stone and examples of his work are on his website.
